On July 18, 2023 a female was murdered on Porter Street Charlotte, NC. This marks the second homicide within 5 hours, a double shooting occurred at apartments resulting in one person being killed. At approximately 5:21 a.m., officers responded to a 911 caller stating she had arrived home and shot an unknown female subject inside of her house on Porter Street.
Upon arrival, officers located a female victim with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene.
The district attorney will decide on if any charges will be filed against the shooter.
