WOMAN MURDERED AT CHARLOTTE FOOD STAMP OFFICE, PLAYED BASKETBALL AT BLACK COLLEGE

Brianye Copeland, 27, was murdered on February 7, 2025 on Stitt Road Charlotte, NC. Kristopher Sinclair, 38, was arrested charged with Brianye’s murder. Brianye played women’s basketball at Central State University; the only Historically Black College University in Ohio. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

Brianye was in her vehicle in the parking lot of the Ella B. Scarborough Community Resource Center, also known as the food stamp office. The location sits in a strip mall.

At 10 a.m. Brianye was shot multiple times. 911 was called and paramedics pronounced Brianye dead on the scene.

A missing woman was killed and dumped. Her boyfriend was charged with her murder

Kristopher was arrested later that day around 11:30 p.m. he is charged with murder. The relationship between Brianye and Kristopher is not known at this time. A number of deaths have taken place among the alumni of black colleges and universities.
