Video shows a man walking into a laundry mat and shooting people
Newly released video shows the moments Louis McGlothlin, 73, walked into a laundry mat and shot several people in Lafayette, Indiana. Louis then shot and killed himself in the head. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
The fatal shooting was in December 2024 at Lafayette Laundry. At 7:40 p.m. Louis walks into the business and randomly shoots everybody in sight. Louis shot 2 people, other laundry customers and employees ran away.
Louis then walks around the business looking for more people to shoot. Louis then exits the business and tries to shoot himself, but the gun jams.
Louis tried a second time and was successful in shooting himself in the head, he immediately falls to the ground and died.
EMS and police responded to the scene from a 911 shots fired call. The injured were taken to the hospital in serious condition. One of the victims Louis shot died at the hospital.
In total 4 people were shot making this a quadruple shooting.
The motive for the shooting was based on Louis believing people were controlling his mind. Louis did not know the victims that he shot.
Louis had been planning the attack for an extended period of time.
