A 17-year-old male is charged with killing a 45-year-old man in a double shooting at a Citgo gas station in Chicago, Illinois on January 3, 2023.
The shooting was at 2:35 a.m. A 45-year-old man and a 36-year-old man were in a vehicle at the gas pumps. A dark colored suspect vehicle drives to the pumps.
3 males with faces covered get out of the sedan and began firing shots at the 2 men. One of the suspects had an AK-47 gun.
Several shots were fired, the 45-year-old man was hit in the chest. The 36-year-old man was shot in the leg. One of the victims, although shot, was still able to run away from the shooting.
The other victim was able to shoot one of the suspects in the shoulder. The suspects then get in the sedan and flee.

The 45-year-old man was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center and pronounced deceased. The other male victim is in fair condition.
The suspects then drove to the hospital to get treatment for the suspect that was shot in the shoulder. The other 2 suspects then left.
Police were able to arrest the 17-year-old suspect on January 3rd and charge him with first degree murder, attempted first degree murder, two counts of attempted vehicular hijacking, and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon by someone under 21.
The other 2 suspects have not been arrested.
