Watch as 2 cops are shot and scream in pain
Newly released video shows Orlando police officers Kaley Powell and Andy Rodriguez being shot by Daton Viel, 28, in Orlando, FL. Both cops were critically injured after being shot multiple times.
The shooting was on August 4, 2023, at 11:00 p.m. Kaley and Andy approach Daton and a second man over a hand to hand drug deal. Daton runs away as the officers give chase. Daton runs around the building and back to his red car.
Officers taser him, but Daton is still able to pull out a gun and shoot Officers Kaley and Andy several times. Kaley runs in pain and is seen with blood all over her arm. Video below shows Daton ran from cops on foot and escaped in a vehicle just a month earlier during a separate traffic stop.
But Daton was not done yet, Daton runs up to Kaley and fires another shot at her while yelling, “Where the keys at?!”
Officer Kaley was shot in the chest, stomach, and arm. Andy was shot in the chest and arm, he falls to the ground and other officers assist him.
Kaley falls to the ground, other cops on scene come to her aid. Daton carjacked another vehicle and drove off, an officer attempted to fire at him during the carjacking but missed.
Both cops were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Daton was killed during a SWAT standoff the next day.
