ICE and Border Patrol raids are rising across Charlotte, NC. Most recently on November 16, 2025 a illegal immigrant was arrested by Border Patrol at the Walmart on North Tryon Street Charlotte, NC. The man seen in a red shirt was at the Walmart parking lot with a shopping cart full of groceries. Walmart has a high latino population due to prices and latino foods.
Border Patrol agents in unmarked SUVs and vans then drive up to him and approach.
The man was not breaking the law and had no arrest warrants, Border Patrol racially profiled the man and asked him if he was an American citizen and demanded his driver’s license.
When the man did not provide the documentation, Border Patrol separated him from his groceries that were paid for and they arrested him.
The man was thrown in the back of a waiting unmarked SUV. The shopping cart just stayed in the parking lot full of the merchandise. The man had diapers in the cart, so he had children at home.
Bystanders yelled and complained to Border Patrol, but they were stoned faced and stubborn. Border Patrol and ICE have drones flying around Charlotte, conducting surveillance, looking for latino people. The drones are flying low to the ground, and can easily be spotted.
