Lewis Davis, 66, also known as Pete died on January 27, 2025 as the result of an accident at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport in Charlotte, NC. Lewis was an American Airlines employee. Video of the deadly encounter can be seen here on Facebook.
Lewis worked in the airline industry for 40 years. Lewis was killed in the morning during a single vehicle accident involving an airline ramp vehicle. It was raining and cloudy when Lewis was killed. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Lewis was on the runway working, when he fell down and got ran over by a heavy plane tug, it is used to tow airplanes.

The tug driver did not see Lewis and completely ran over him. The large heavy tires of the tug crushed the body of Lewis, he died on scene.

The devastation from the accident caused deformities on the body of Lewis so much to the extent that he was cremated instead of having an open casket funeral.

Lewis earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1980. Lewis was well loved in the airport community amongst his coworkers and friends.
