LATINO SUSPECT MURDERED BLACK MAN AT SWIMMING POOL IN CHARLOTTE

On February 13, 2025 Javier Perez-Concepcion, 26, was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of 22-year-old Donqwavias Davis at apartments in Charlotte, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

Donqwavias was murdered on May 1, 2019 at the University Village apartments on University Village Boulevard, Charlotte, NC.

Donqwavias and Javier came into contact with each other at the pool area of the apartments. They had a verbal dispute after which the defendant left the apartment complex. 

17 minutes later Javier returned with a .45 caliber handgun and an acquaintance who had a 9 mm handgun. They cornered Donqwavias on the patio of the pool. 

A fight began and Donqwavias was shot four times. Javier left the scene. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Swimming pool crimes are notorious.

Javier was arrested a few days later charged with murder. In 2025 at criminal trial a jury found Javier guilty of first degree murder. 

Judge Archie sentenced him to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the first degree murder charge.
