35-year-old Kamron Rondon was found dead in the mountainous woods on January 23, 2025 his skull was found by a hiker. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
A hiker found Kamron’s skull in a wooded area in Burrell Mountain which is in Cherokee County, NC. Kamron’s head was severed from his body. Withered clothing and dreadlocks were found.
The hiker contacted 911. In response, authorities conducted a thorough search of the area and had additional support from Western Carolina University anthropology students, leading to the recovery of additional human body parts belonging to Kamron.
Following an extensive forensic investigation, the SBI positively identified the deceased as Kamron.
Kamron had not been reported missing to any law enforcement agencies. At this time, the cause of death remains undetermined.
