US MARSHALL MURDERED IN CHARLOTTE, SEVERAL COPS SHOT, MASS CASUALTY BUS SENT

On April 29, 2024 a deputy U.S. Marshal was shot and killed during a warrant arrest in Charlotte, NC on Galway Drive. Several Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department officers were also shot. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

The U.S. Marshals Task Force investigation which is made up of cops and U.S. Marshals were on Galway Drive to serve an arrest warrant on a suspect at 1:30 p.m. One of the suspects saw the cops and then fired multiple times.

A U.S. Marshall was shot and killed by the suspect firing the gun. The suspect then shot several other police officers on the scene.

Helicopter units were called in along with paramedics. The Marshall died on the scene. The suspect then barricaded themself in a house.

Cochrane Collegiate Academy, Devonshire Elementary School, and Briarwood Elementary School were all placed on lock-down.

A mass casualty response bus was sent to the scene. Atrium Main Hospital is a Level 1 trauma center and every trauma surgeon is being called in to help.
