On April 28, 2024 a 4-year-old child was shot on Wheatside Dr. Charlotte, NC. The child’s father Leeshawn Brooks, 32, was arrested. Another suspect Paris Perry, 32, was also arrested.
The child was shot at a home on Wheatside Dr. around 9 p.m. The child was taken to the hospital for treatment. Hospital staff notified police of the shooting. The kid was shot accidentally.
The child is expected to be okay. Leeshawn and Paris were arrested in connection with the shooting and charged with felony child abuse, firearm by felon, possession of a stolen firearm, and storage of firearms to protect minors.
