18-year-old Emmanuel Crouch was sentenced to 125 months in prison on February 6, 2025 in Charlotte, NC after being convicted of murdering 15-year-old John Daniel Morales. The teen victim was shot and killed at a swimming pool. A number of teenagers have been murdered in Charlotte.
John was a football player. On May 29, 2022 Memorial Day weekend, John was at a swimming pool on First Run Circle Charlotte, NC when Emmanuel shot and killed him during an altercation.
Emmanuel was arrested a few months later in August 2022 charged with murder and robbery. Charlotte Alerts is on Instagram. In court at his 2025 trial on Thursday February 6th Emmanuel pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon. A judge gave him 125 to 162 months in prison.
