Zachary Monroe, 18, and a juvenile teenager are charged with murdering 19-year-old Kaleb Hagins in uptown Charlotte, NC. Zachary and the juvenile were arrested on July 13, 2022.
Kaleb was shot and killed on East Trade Street on June 24, 2022.
Kaleb was murdered at 9 p.m. an altercation took place and Kaleb along with another man were shot. Kaleb died on the scene. The other victim was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
Kaleb was an avid football player and athlete.
After an investigation, the juvenile suspect was arrested and transported to the custody of the jail, charged with murder.
The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations (SBI), and the Belmont Police Department arrested Zachary and charged him with murder.
