ICE DEPORTS MEXICAN SEX OFFENDER AND GANG MEMBER

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) deportation officers deported an unlawfully present Mexican national convicted of sex offenses from the United States. The suspect is Jesus Chavez-Santiago, 22, he was deported from the U.S. via the port of entry in San Diego on May 24, 2022.

In December 2020, Jesus a documented member of the Varrio San Marcos gang, was convicted in the Superior Court of California in San Diego County for lewd acts upon a child.

Jamison Matuszewski, ERO San Diego field office director says:

“Chavez-Santiago has demonstrated through his criminal actions that he has no regard for the laws of the U.S., and I’m pleased our deportation officers were able to accomplish our mission of safeguarding the public by arresting and removing him from our country.”

After his prison term, Jesus was deported back to Mexico.
