A teen girl was shot and a teen was ran over by a car on senior skip day at a strip mall
On April 21, 2026 a 17-year-old girl was shot in Charlotte, NC on senior skip day. The girl attended Julius Chambers High School. The shooting was at the Leslie Square shopping center on Harris Houston Road.
A large crowd of teens were gathering at the shopping center for senior skip day at noon. The teens were dancing and were out of control.
A fight led to gunfire, the teen girl was shot in the leg. Another teen was ran over by a car. The crowd ran in fear.
The shot girl was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The second teen hit by the car was also treated at the hospital.
