Amber Paris lost her life on an E-Bike after being hit by a Dodge vehicle in hit and run crash
Amber Caralexa Paris, 15, was killed in a hit and run crash while riding an E-bike in Charlotte, NC on Driftwood Drive. Julio Vicente, 40, is accused of running into Amber and leaving the scene. Amber died on December 19, 2025.
On Nov. 24, 2025 Amber was riding an E-Bike on Driftwood Drive at 5:44 p.m. Julio was driving a Dodge vehicle, the Dodge and the E-bike entered the four way intersection at the same time, when the front of the Dodge struck the E-bicycle.
Amber was thrown off the E-bike from the impact of the crash. Amber landed on the cold hard asphalt and was gravely injured. Amber’s face and body was bruised very badly.
Julio is accused of running from the scene on foot. Amber was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
Detectives with the Major Crash Investigation Unit, officers with the DWI Task Force, and Crime Scene Search responded to the scene to assist with the investigation.
Officers were able to identify the driver of the Dodge as Julio. The suspect was arrested on Nov. 25, 2025 charged with felony hit and run, reckless driving, no operators license, and assault on female.
On Dec. 19, 2025 Amber died at the hospital from her injuries sustained in the crash.
