Video: A man was barbarically swinging a chain at cops, he was shot and killed
Gripping video shows the moments 56-year-old Hugo Polanco was killed by police in Los Angeles in November 2025.
911 was called to report that Hugo was swinging chains and metal wire lines at people. LAPD arrived on scene and told Hugo to get on the ground. Hugo picked up a metal chain and LAPD cops shot him with a bean bag gun that is not designed to kill, but rather subdue and cause pain.
Hugo is seen getting angry and yelling “Puta.” Hugo picks up the chains and begins swinging it at cops and running towards them. A officer on scene shoots Hugo dead. Blood is seen pouring from Hugo, and cops put him in handcuffs.
Hugo died on scene.
