Allisson Manrique Mejia, 15, died on December 10, 2023 days after being involved in a roll over crash on Shamrock Drive Charlotte, NC. Allisson was a student at Garinger High School. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
The wreck was on December 7, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. Allisson was a passenger in a vehicle when the vehicle slammed on breaks colliding with another vehicle and flipping over upside down.
Allisson and the other occupants suffered injuries in the car accident. They were all rushed to the hospital for treatment.
3 days later medical intervention was not able to save Alisson’s life and she died at the hospital. The other injured parties survived.
Allisson and her family had just came to the USA from Mexico.
The Crisis Response Team at Garinger has made plans to respond to the emotional needs of all students. Counselors will be highly visible throughout the building and available to assist with grief counseling.
This marks the third student killed within a week in Charlotte.
