Just like a country western movie, a glass liquor bottle was smacked on a man’s head so hard that the bottle broke and caused cuts to the victim’s face at Snug Harbor Bar
Labenjamin Thorn, 33, pled guilty to assault inflicting serious injury on March 23, 2026 after he hit a man in the face with a liquor bottle at Snug Harbor Bar on Gordon Street in Charlotte, NC.

The fight was on November 3, 2025. The victim, Stephen Locker was at the karaoke stage of Snug Harbor Bar talking to Labenjamin.

Suddenly as Stephen turned to speak with someone else, the suspect hit Stephen in the face with a glass liquor bottle.
The bottle busted on Stephen’s face, he sustained multiple lacerations to his face that caused heavy bleeding and required stitches from the assault; and was treated at Atrium Health Hospital. Multiple patrons were scared and left the bar.
Labenjamin left in a white BMW with a woman Skylair Gonzalez. A witness was able to obtain the vehicle plate number and give it to police.
Cops obtained both an arrest photo and a license photo of Labenjamin and compared them to the color image and video of the altercation from Snug Harbor to positively identify him as the suspect.
Labenjamin was arrested charged with assault related offenses. In March 2026 Labenjamin pled guilty to assault inflicting serious bodily injury. He was sentenced to 15-27 months in prison; that sentence was suspended pending his successful completion of 24 months of supervised probation.
As a condition of the probation, he must serve a split sentence of 91 days in jail. Labenjamin also must take anger management classes and pay Stephen over $6,000 in restitution, but it is likely Labenjamin will never pay the money.
