SUSPECT CHARGED WITH MURDER

20-year-old Khanahnai Coleman was arrested on April 10, 2024 charged with the murder of Rashaad Sinclair in Charlotte, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

Rashaad was murdered in a violent shooting on February 20th, 2025 on Lucena Street. A 911 caller advised the victim was shot in a vehicle in a parking lot.

Rashaad was located in the vehicle and pronounced deceased on scene. A female witness stated she was with Rashaad the entire night and they went over to Lucena Street to conduct a drug transaction with a male she knew as “Long Neck.”

While in the car, 2 males walked up to Rashaad and demanded everything he had, they then shot and killed Rashaad. “Long Neck” was in the vehicle too and then exited once the shots were fired.

“Long Neck” is accused of returning and taking money and a bag of drugs. After the homicide, detectives spoke with a person known to law enforcement, otherwise known as a snitch.

That person stated that Khanahnai Coleman was involved in the murder and this murder was a result of a drug territory dispute. Khanahnai was identified as ‘Long Neck’ and he was arrested charged with armed robbery with a dangerous weapon and first degree murder.
