Keia Garnett, 34, was murdered on November 13, 2023 in a double shooting on West Sugar Creek Charlotte, NC. Keia was a mother to 4 kids. Shikeem Sands, 23, was arrested accused of murdering Keia.

A huge fight led to shots fired. Keia and another person were shot. Paramedics took both victims to the hospital. It is believed that Keia was an innocent bystander and not involved in the altercation.Keia died at the hospital. The other victim is in serious condition. Shikeem was located near the incident location shortly after the murder occurred. Shikeem is charged with the following murder, attempted 1st degree murder, discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, and possession of firearm by convicted felon.
