Around 3 p.m. just hours before Super Bowl 2023, Deshaun was shot in a drive by shooting. A vehicle pulled up next to Deshaun and shots were fired. The suspect vehicle left the scene.
Deshaun was taken to the hospital, where he would later die.
As a result of the continued investigation, detectives arrested Thomas and charged him with murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle, and possession of a firearm by felon.
