ON DUTY BUS DRIVER SHOT IN HEAD, DIES AT HOSPITAL, WAS A FATHER

A violent murder ended the life of 41-year-old Ethan Rivera. Ethan was a bus driver with the City of Charlotte. He was shot in the head on West Trade Street Charlotte, NC on February 11, 2022 while on duty. Ethan had young children.

Ethan was on a city bus in downtown Charlotte driving 4 to 5 passengers to their destinations when a driver in a SUV had a road rage dispute with Ethan. The suspect in the SUV pulled up beside the large bus and fired several shots.

Ethan was shot in the head, the bus then drove off the roadway. The suspect SUV sped off. 911 was called and paramedics rushed Ethan to Atrium Main hospital.

Unfortunately, Ethan died on February 12, 2022 while receiving treatment at the hospital. No arrests have been made.
