A young mother was murdered in a wild shooting on February 13, 2022 in Charlotte, NC. After the woman was killed, her 3-year-old daughter Marlaya Patterson was taken from her, allegedly by the girl’s father identified as Corey Patterson, 29. Now an Amber Alert has been issued.
The mother was found dead at a home on Swan Drive in Charlotte at 6:30 a.m. The woman’s daughter was missing, and was believed to be taken by Corey, her father.
Officials say Marlaya is in danger. Corey is believed to be driving a silver SUV and is considered armed and dangerous, cops say.
