At 7 p.m. Wayne was walking on I-277 near Kenilworth Avenue. The interstate is busy with fast moving vehicles, and it is not made for pedestrian foot traffic.
Wayne was walking in the middle of the highway, he was then hit by a SUV. The crash busted the windshield of the SUV and caused damage to the front right fender. Wayne died on scene.
