MOTHERS DAY, MOTHERS KILLED OR FOUND DEAD IN 2024 & RECENTLY

Mother’s Day is a special day for families. But unfortunately there were several mothers around the world that did not live to see Mother’s Day 2024. Charlotte Alerts was able to make note of a few that died. Charlotte Alerts is on Instagram now.

Some of the mothers were murdered, some of them were in car accidents, some of the mothers had medical emergencies, some of them were found dead from drug overdoses like cocaine and fentanyl. And some of the mothers even killed themselves and their children.

Shakyra Cureton, 31, died on March 6, 2024 in Charlotte, NC.

Shakyra died from unknown causes on the same month of her birthday. Shakyra’s birthday was on March 29, 2024. No foul play is suspected. Shakyra’s funeral was on March 15, 2024. In December 2022 Shakyra said she was involved in a bad car accident in which her vehicle caught on fire. Shakyra admitted to drinking and driving, being selfish to the point of not caring about her kids in her brief state of intoxication.

Chereeta Mckoy, 40, died on March 23, 2024 in Charlotte, NC. Chereeta had a 21-year-old daughter and also another daughter.

Video shows Vanessa Dean, 29, killed herself on March 27, 2024 on Eastway Drive Charlotte, NC. Vanessa was a young mother and leaves behind a 8-year-old son.

Emergency crews responded and found Vanessa unresponsive from a gunshot wound.

27-year-old Jessica Somerville was shot and killed in a wild homicide at a Subway sandwich restaurant.

Jessica was a employee with the United States Postal Service.

Nikki Long died on April 2, 2024 near Greensboro, NC. Nikki was an alumni of The University of North Carolina Greensboro. Nikki died from a medical emergency, she had a medical condition of some sort. Nikki was in the Zetas sorority.

Daysha Johnson, 34, was murdered in Camden, SC on March 28, 2024.

55-year-old Sureita Samuels was shot to death in a wild homicide on March 19, 2024 at a Walgreens parking lot in Huntersville, NC.

Markayla Johnson, 22, and her two children 4-year-old Miracle Johnson and 7-month-old Messiah Johnson were murdered in a triple homicide in Charlotte, NC.

On February 19, 2024 college professor Bernadine Pruessner, 39, killed herself and her 4 children by setting a house fire in Ferguson, Missouri.

On February 10, 2024 Kuvina Hickles, 28, was shot and killed in a violent homicide. Kuvina was several weeks pregnant.

24-year-old Dayanna Hurtado was murdered in front of her 3-year-old daughter by her boyfriend.

30-year-old Denjah Moore and her 10-month old baby were murdered by the woman’s boyfriend, cops say.

Keia Garnett, 34, was murdered on November 13, 2023 in a double shooting on West Sugar Creek Charlotte, NC.

Fridelene Daniel, 34, was shot and killed in the parking lot of the Meadows on the Green apartment complex.

Video shows Alonna Gallon being murdered at her job. She worked at the Toyota of Berkeley car dealership.

Kizzie Poe, 42, died on May 6, 2023 in Charlotte, NC. She died from fentanyl and cocaine toxicity.

Lisa Pettis, 57, was killed on The Plaza Rd. Charlotte, NC. Lisa leaves behind adult children.

Karlotta Robinson, 32, died of fentanyl toxicity in Charlotte, NC.

Marquisha Williams, 29, was murdered, found dead in a wooded area.

Niani Finlayson was fatally shot by cops in front of her daughter.

Tamanika Woods, 30, was murdered after a shooting at a McDonald’s in Atlanta, GA.

Nataly Martinez, 21, was murdered on February 2, 2024 allegedly by her boyfriend Freddy Renter
ia, 25, on Strider Drive Charlotte, NC.

Rochelle Newberry, 42, died from a fentanyl drug overdose on Rocky River Road.
