Laequan had been missing since New Year’s Eve 2024. His family reported him missing. A search was launched, but Laequan could not be found.

But on January 13th a specialized Guilford County Dive Team searched a lake on Bridford Parkway and found Laequan’s vehicle submerged along with his dead body.
The team then used tow truck chains to pull the car out of the water. The victim’s body was pulled from the water and positively identified. The investigation is still active and ongoing. The case is not being investigated as a homicide.
