Another Rae Carruth saga? Suspect was married, got another woman pregnant, and then murdered her
On September 4, 2025 Dasean Maddox, 33, pleaded guilty to murdering Jameisha Wilkes, 33, and their unborn child in Charlotte, NC. Dasean was married and was having an adulterous affair with Jamerisha, whom he eventually got pregnant. Jamerisha refused to get abortion, so Dasean slaughtered her.
Jamerisha was murdered in a shooting on November 13, 2024 at apartments on Strive Street. Dasean got Jamerisha pregnant and he told her to get an abortion so his wife would not find out.
Jamerisha knew he was married and told him that she was keeping the baby and he needed to come clean with his wife. Pregnant women are often shot or murdered during domestic disputes.
Dasean got infuriated and planned a sneak attack on Jamerisha. In the afternoon Jameisha was walking to her apartment unit in a stairwell.
Dasean approached Jameisha and shot her dead, while also taking her cell phone. The suspect fled the scene. 911 was called, and EMS pronounced Jameisha dead on the scene along with her new baby.
Jameisha had a young 7-year-old daughter. Dasean was arrested charged with murder.
