On July 1, 2022 Shawn Whren, 31, was murdered during a shooting in Statesville, NC. 37-year-old Carl Cathey was charged with Shawn’s murder.
The time was 4 a.m. when Shawn was at home sleeping. Several shots were fired into his home and he was shot. Shawn was taken to the hospital where he eventually died. Carl was arrested on the same day and charged with first degree murder.
There is no word on what led to the shooting.
