MAN KILLED ON INDEPENDENCE BLVD. IN MOTORCYCLE WRECK WITH DODGE CHARGER AND CITY BUS

Timothy Pickell, 27, was killed in a motorcycle collision with a Charlotte Area Transit System bus and a Dodge Charger on June 18, 2024 on Independence Blvd. Charlotte, NC.

On June 18th at 6:28 p.m., Timothy was driving a Suzuki motorcycle on Independence Boulevard. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

Timothy was reportedly swerving in and out of traffic at a high rate of speed when the motorcycle struck the rear of the Dodge Charger during rush hour traffic, according to police.

Timothy was ejected from the motorcycle and thrown onto the road. The motorcycle continued on and struck the city bus.

The driver of the bus and Dodge Charger were not injured and remained on scene. Timothy was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, but he was still pronounced deceased on scene. Click here to see other Charlotte motorcycle crashes.

The bus and Dodge Charger both had minor damage. Timothy was a well known avid motorcycle rider in Charlotte.
