FENTANYL DRUG DEALER IN CHARLOTTE GETS 12 YEARS IN PRISON

On June 17, 2024 in Charlotte, NC Chad Clay, 31, was sentenced to 151 months in prison for distribution of fentanyl and methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

From July 2022 through October 2022 Chad sold fentanyl and methamphetamine on multiple occasions to an undercover cop in Charlotte. Click here to see the many fentanyl articles in Charlotte.

In addition to the drugs, Chad also sold several firearms to the undercover cop, including a handgun that had been reported stolen and a rifle with two high capacity magazines.

Chad was arrested in November 2022 charged with felony drug dealing. 

Court records show that Chad has multiple prior felony convictions, due to these criminal convictions, Chad is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition.  

On March 16, 2023, Chad pleaded guilty to three counts of distribution of fentanyl, one count of distribution of methamphetamine, and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. 

Chad was then sentenced to over 12 years in prison.

Chad will remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service pending transportation to a designated federal Bureau of Prisons’ facility.
