MAN DIES FROM NIKKI’S STRIP CLUB SHOOTOUT WHILE CELEBRATING NBA ALL STAR GAME

Date:

Melson Quince, 35, was killed in a shooting at Nikki’s strip club in Charlotte, NC. The club has had a number of Alcohol Beverage Control violations over the years, and had shutdown at one point.

Club Nikki’s was even ordered to pay over $15,000 in fines.

On February 18 a disturbance began at Club Nikki’s strip club located at 3001 Little Rock Road, as there were many celebrating NBA All Star events in Charlotte.

The disturbance moved to the parking lot and ultimately led to an exchange of gunfire between at least two individuals.

A short time later, a male arrived at a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Later that morning officers responded to a nearby location for an assist Medic call. When they arrived, they located Melson with an apparent gunshot wound.

Melson was pronounced deceased on scene.

Between 2009 and 2016, there were seven violations recorded at Club Nikkis by Alcohol Law Enforcement, resulting in $15,900 in fines.

Some past violations include drugs being allowed in the club and underage workers. Alcohol Law Enforcement plans to ask the ABC Commission to immediately suspend the club’s license.

“In this case, someone had a gun inside the club and that should have been prevented. Security did not work properly,” officials say.
