On March 4, 2024 the Little Caesars pizza restaurant located on 228 Eastway Dr. Charlotte, NC scored an 82.50 B in a health inspection.
The manager was unable to answer health questions related to the food establishment. The manager was also not knowledgeable of the cold holding temperature requirements for TCS foods.
The inspector observed several priority item violations. An employee drink was commingled with customer food in the lowboy cooler. See video of bugs in a child’s food at the American Deli on Eastway Dr.
No paper towels were at the handwashing sink and bathroom sink. The cheese sauce had mold in it. The sauce was thrown away at the inspectors discretion.
The red pizza sauce was cold holding at unsafe temperatures above 41 degrees, the sauce was thrown out. The food in the refrigerator was not cold holding foods at safe temperatures, so most of the food was discarded. See the many restaurants that were caught with bugs in food.
Because of the food cooling equipment not working properly, the Little Caesars restaurant was forced to shutdown. The restaurant can not reopen until the food cooling equipment is fixed. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.
Several foods in the prep top cooler and the low boy cooler were not date marked and had to be discarded.
A dirty dusty fan was blowing directly on the pizza making station. The inspector observed shelves and racks throughout the facility with large amounts of dust and debris buildup.
The toilet was dirty too. Phones and employee items were on the shelf with customer food.
