Video: Souleyman Bakayoko was killed as his vehicle lost control and smashed into a library head on
Souleyman Bakayoko, 22, died on April 27, 2026 after his car cashed into the Pineville Town Hall Library in Pineville, NC.
Pineville officers responded to a vehicle that crashed into the downstairs building area of the Pineville Town Hall Library. The vehicle had completely crashed into the inside of the building and once officers arrived, they began providing immediate life-saving measures for the driver Souleyman, but unfortunately he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No one else was in the vehicle and no one else was hurt outside of the vehicle or from inside the building. This fatality crash investigation remains open and ongoing.
