In February 2024 a Dunkin Donuts employee identified as 18-year-old Ricky Miller was arrested, accused of firing shots at a customer over a dissatisfaction of the restaurant’s service speed. The encounter was at a Dunkin Donuts in Weddington, NC.

The customer entered the Dunkin Donuts and complained about slow service. The customer requested a refund for his meal.
A verbal altercation then occurred between the customer and the Dunkin Donuts employee. Watch video of a Jack in The Box employee shooting at a customer.
The customer then left the store and drove away in his truck. While driving down Weddington Road, the customer called 911 and reported that Ricky began following him and shooting at him, according to cops.
Responding deputies located Ricky driving his car near the area and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. Video shows a tow truck shop owner was pistol whipped during a robbery.
Ricky allegedly failed to stop and fled briefly before wrecking the vehicle into a large field nearby. A Walmart employee was shot over a fried chicken theft.
The suspect surrendered and was taken into custody by pursuing deputies. Ricky was transported to the Union County Detention Center and charged with two counts of felony discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, felony flee to elude arrest, and possessing a firearm with an altered/damaged serial number.
He was issued a secured bond of $4,000. Videos shows a female employee being murdered at a Toyota dealership on the job.
Even a teenage Wendy’s employee was murdered on the job during a fight with another employee.
