ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT CHARGED WITH MURDERING MALE VICTIM AND SHOOTING FEMALE IN HEAD

Tavares Phifer, 35, was murdered in a double shooting on September 16, 2025. The homicide was at a shopping center located at 5638 Albemarle Road Charlotte, NC. Francisco Aldair Lopez-Tadeo, 29, was arrested accused of murder. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

At 1 a.m. Tavares and a female were shot in the parking lot of a shopping center. The female was shot in the head while Tavares was shot in the neck and shoulder.

Tavares died from the shooting. The lady was rushed to the hospital and is in life threatening condition. Tavares was shot multiple times. He was transported to Novant Health Presbyterian Main,
where he was pronounced deceased by Dr. Dylan Skinner.

Francisco was later arrested charged with murder. Francisco is an illegal immigrant and an ICE detainer was placed on him. A 4-year-old child was murdered on September 17th in Charlotte.
