No certified food protection manager was present for first half of the inspection. The inspector saw an IHOP employee grab food from the fryer and eat it while in the kitchen.
Plates and utensils on cook line were dirty and soiled with debris. Sanitizer buckets in the kitchen were at 0ppm of lactic acid sanitizer.
Pot roast was cold holding at unsafe temperatures and had to be thrown away. Dead pests were near the dish machine, drink machine, and behind equipment in the kitchen.
There were also alive bugs crawling around the IHOP. The inspector observed a back door where there was a gap at the bottom that potentially allowed the entry of pests.
