On May 11, 2023 an Arby’s employee was found dead in the restaurant freezer. The employee who was also the manager, was found dead at the Arby’s on East Admiral Doyle Drive New Iberia, LA.
Employees at the Arby’s were looking for the manager, an employee entered the walk-in freezer and found the manager dead at 6:19 p.m. during normal business hours.
Police were called to the scene.
Upon arrival, officers located the female manager inside the walk-in freezer, showing no signs of life and dead.
The Iberia Parish Coroner’s Office responded to the scene and pronounced the female deceased.
Multiple employees at the Arby’s were interviewed by cops as part of the initial probe, and some may be interviewed again.
This matter remains under investigation and no foul play is suspected. However, an official cause of death has not been ruled yet.
The Arby’s restaurant had this to say regarding the matter:
We are aware of the incident that took place at our franchised location in New Iberia, LA. The franchisee is cooperating fully with local authorities as they conduct their investigation. Due to this being an active investigation, we defer any further comment to the police department.
