A 2022 Memorial Day weekend double homicide resulted in 25-year-old Darion McClendon and his 4-month-old son Da’mari McClendon being shot and killed in Monroe, NC on May 29, 2022.
Darion and Da’mari were shot at a home on Morrow Avenue. A suspect or suspects approached in a drive-by shooting and shot several times. Both father and son were shot, and they died at the scene.
The suspect vehicle sped away. The shooting was at 10 p.m. No arrests have been made.
