On the afternoon of July 7, 2022 a cop was hit by a car, ran over and dragged on Lasalle Street.
Cops were attempting to pull over a vehicle on Lasalle Street. The suspect briefly stopped but then peeled off. In the process a cop was close enough to the suspect vehicle to get hit, dragged, and ran over.
The officer was injured and hospitalized. Parts of the cops skin was peeling due to the abrasions and contact with the hard asphalt. The officer’s foot was run over.
