3 people were killed in a bad car accident on Interstate 85 in Cleveland County, SC. The deadly crash was on April 27, 2023. Timothy Mcneil, 25, and Leigh Ann Hamilton Marshall, 56, were two of the people killed in the crash. Tim is from Charlotte, NC.
At 4:45 p.m. multiple vehicles were involved in the fatal collision at mile marker 106. Rainy conditions and slippery roads contributed to the crash.
Leigh struck a retainer wall and then veered into the path of a tractor trailer rig. Leigh and one of her passengers were stuck under the truck.
Timothy was driving a truck, when he slowed down due to the prior car accident. A 18-wheeler truck then ran into Timothy’s truck.
Timothy’s vehicle got caught under the large commercial truck and was dragged hundreds of feet under the truck trailer.
Tim, Leigh, and one other person were pronounced dead on scene. A 4th person was injured in the wreck.
