Fayetteville Police Department Officer Domingo Tavarez-Rodriguez was murdered on April 28, 2023 along with his wife Yenitza Arroyo Torres in Fayetteville, NC.
On April 28th at 6 p.m. supervisors with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to Vandenberg Drive to check on Officer Domingo who failed to report for duty.
Once on scene officers gained access to the residence and located Officer Domingo and his wife Yenitza dead.
Both victims had sustained gunshot wounds. Based on the incident involving a current and active Fayetteville Police Officer, the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) was requested and has assumed the criminal investigation.
Domingo served time in the United States military and had PTSD. He has been a cop with the Fayetteville Police Department for 2 years.
This case has been classified as a double homicide.
