29-year-old Aderly Jose Veliz Ronquillo was arrested on February 23, 2023 charged with the murder of Wilson Gutiérrez, 29. The victim was murdered in a shooting on November 6, 2022 in Charlotte, NC. Wilson was a local soccer player for small league teams.
Wilson was shot and killed on Central Ave. Wilson was shot at 3 a.m. near a strip mall shopping center and gas station in heavy rain. Wilson was located with blood seeping from his body and washing onto the streets mixed with the rain. Wilson was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Jose and other suspects were originally arrested in New York, but Jose was extradited to Charlotte recently.
It is not known if the other suspects’ charges carried over to an extradition.
