MAN CHARGED WITH MURDERING WOMAN IN EARLY MORNING

Joanna Barrett, 51, was murdered on February 24, 2023 in Charlotte, NC. Darren Curry, 42, is accused of the crime. 

Joanna was stabbed to death on Perth Court at a residence just after 5:30 a.m.

Officers responded to a domestic violence related assault 911 call. Upon arrival, officers discovered Joanna with multiple stab wounds.

The victim was pronounced deceased by paramedics. Darren was arrested later that day and charged with murder. We don’t know what led to the dispute.
