Three people were killed in a crash on Interstate 85 on April 27, 2023. The crash was near the border of North Carolina and South Carolina. The crash was on the Cleveland County, SC side of Interstate 85.
Multiple vehicles were involved in the fatal collision at mile marker 106. Rainy conditions and slippery roads contributed to the crash.
3 people were pronounced dead on scene. A 4th person was injured in the wreck.
According to South Carolina highway patrol, the southbound lanes of Interstate 85 are closed while state troopers investigate the scene.
