On April 26, 2023, the Greenville Regional Drug Task Force concluded a month-long narcotics investigation. Paul Woody, 47, was arrested after 23,320 bags of heroin were allegedly found in his apartment in Greenville, NC.

During the drug investigation detectives were granted a search warrant from a judge. Cops then conducted the search warrant at an apartment.
The search warrant led to the seizure of 23,320 bags of heroin and two firearms. The approximate street value from the seized heroin is $185,000.
Paul was identified as the suspect and was charged with trafficking heroin and possession of firearm by a felon.
He was booked into the Pitt County Detention Center and received a $ 1,575,000 secure bond.
