2 WOMEN ARRESTED ACCUSED OF MURDERING MAN ON I-85

Julia Henderson, 22, and Estrella Gutierrez-Perez, 21, were arrested in August 2026 accused of murdering Alex Rodriguez, 17, in Charlotte NC during a speed race on I-85.

The fatal accident was on July 25, 2026 on I-85. Julia was in an Audi and Estrella was in a Mercedes Benz allegedly racing, they are accused of speeding at 132 mph in a 60 mph zone on I-85. During the race, the women are accused of crashing into Alex who was driving a separate vehicle that was not involved in the race.

Alex died on scene. Both Julia and Estrella were hurt in the fatal wreck. The women were treated in the hospital for weeks, at the time of their medical release they were both arrested and charged with murder.

Julia was released from the hospital a few days before Estrella.
