2 MEN CHARGED AFTER SCHOOL BUS SHOT AT DURING DRUG DEAL

Lamarius Anthony, 21, and Paris Bynum, 20, were arrested in connection with the school bus shootout that occurred on December 16, 2024 on WT Harris Blvd. Charlotte, NC. Follow Charlotte Alerts on Instagram.

The shooting involved victim students from Albemarle Road Middle School.

A argument occurred around 3:30 p.m allegedly between Paris, Lamarius, and other people in traffic over an alleged drug deal gone bad.

A suspect then shot at a Infiniti vehicle and several bullets inadvertently hit the school bus. No students were shot, but glass fragments from busted windows cut multiple students.

Students were bleeding and needed immediate medical care. The suspects sped off.

Lamarius was arrested on December 16, 2024 charged with felony possession of cocaine and carrying concealed weapon.

On December 18, 2024, Paris was arrested charged with possession of stolen gun,  gun by felon, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
