Two children were shot at a Burger King on November 4, 2021 in Durham, NC. Around 7 P.M. the kids were sitting at the Burger King drive-thru when a bullet broke a window on the family vehicle and struck the 2 children, ages 11 and 2. The kids were sitting in the back seat.
The family drove away fast and took the injured children to a local hospital for emergency treatment. Thankfully, the kids were not seriously injured.
The kids and parents were innocent bystanders during a shootout across the street. They were not the intended target.
No arrests have been made.

On June 10, 2021 2 kids were shot in Charlotte, NC during seperate shootings.
A 5-year-old child was shot and killed at a red light.
Three children were shot in drive-by shootings, including a 9-year-old girl that was killed.
7-year-old Zakylen Harris was shot and killed while in the car with his mother.
