Kalin Washington, 16, was shot and killed on October 29, 2023 in Indianapolis, Indiana during a Halloween party. 10 people were shot total at the party.
A crowd gathered at a rented building for a Halloween party on October 29th. Only 200 people were allowed in the building, but there were nearly 1,000 inside the party.
Drug use and alcohol was reported at the party. As the party intensified, more and more people showed up.
Several people arrived and were denied entry into the party. That is when the people that were not allowed in began to shoot at the building. Kalin was shot and killed on scene.
Hundreds of people were seen running from the party during the shooting, some people were trampled. Some party attendees barricaded themselves in different rooms during the shooting.
9 other people were shot and taken to the hospital, they survived.
No arrests have been made. Kalin was a junior at Warren Central High School.
